Tanveer Islam is an economist working in the Saskatchewan Ministry of the Economy’s Labour Market Planning branch. Tanveer’s professional development spans a range of experiences and a variety of sectors, including public policy and planning in government, financial advising in the banking sector, empirical research in Economics, and consulting and project management in the non-profit sector. Tanveer has led stakeholder teams globally (France, Belgium, Thailand and Vietnam) to foster business and export linkages.
Tanveer has two Master’s degrees in Economics and has published research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He regularly conducts economic analysis to inform government and industry labour market forecasts and brings a welcomed expertise in understanding and articulating the labour market impact of changes in the local and global economy.
