Roberta received her Bachelor of Arts (AB) in 2006 from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts where she double-majored in Sociology and Anthropology (and minored in International Relations). Since then she's worked as a community educator with several non-profits in both the US and Canada. She moved to Canada in order to attend the University of Saskatchewan where she is in her final year as a Master's student with the Department of Indigenous Studies. Her interest in culture and cultural responsiveness has been a life-long one, and she feels very fortunate to be able to engage with diversity and intercultural knowledge as collective assets in a professional capacity. As a Cultural Bridging Facilitator with the Saskatoon Open Door Society, she shares information related to enhancing people's levels of cultural intelligence, knowledge, and competency in order to facilitate the socially inclusive integration of Newcomers to Canada/Saskatchewan.
